The school of Naval Architecture & Ocean Engineering has been
recognized as a developmental priority and has received vast
financial support. Most recently NAOE has received a grant from
Hyundai Heavy Industries under the project named "Ship & Ocean
TOP rank in the world "(SOTOP) supported by the
Ministry of Education Science and Technology, the City of Ulsan, and
the shipbuilding industry.

- Supported overseas study for more than 80 students a year including 5
one-semester exchange
student to Univ. of Michigan and Univ. of
Glasgow & Strathclyde
- Engaged 2 foreign professor and 2 research professors
- Build new intelligent department building(USD3,000,000)
- New laboratory building was constructed in June 2008/ USD1,700,000)
