| 1.Program Structure |
The School of Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering comprises two major fields: Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering at the undergraduate, graduate, and post-graduate levels. Each undergraduate student chooses his/her major field after his/her freshman year. |
| 2.Undergraduate program |
The undergraduate program at NAOE is famous for its long tradition of providing a strong, technical, hands-on education in naval architecture, ship building, and ocean engineering. Successful graduates will have the knowledge and skills in marine hydrodynamics, marine structures, ocean engineering and emerging technologies. The program builds a strong foundation for the development of a professionally competent and versatile engineer able to function in a much broader global economy, including careers in classification organizations, research institutes, as well as, in a traditional shipbuilding environment. |
| 3.Graduate program |
The school offers M.S. and Ph.D. programs. Students looking for a research or an academic career, are encouraged to get involved in one of the graduate programs. The NAOE program offers courses in six modules: general engineering, fluid mechanics, structural mechanics, design, manufacturing, and information technology. All student must take all the general engineering courses offered in the first and the second year. The students have to choose three modules including the design module and take all the coursed offered in those module.
